When do the award nominations open?

Nominations opened on May 1, 2025.

When do the award nominations close?

Nominations close on August 31, 2025 at 11:59pm.

Can I nominate someone after the nominations close?

No.

Can I nominate as many times as I like?

Yes. You are encouraged to nominate as many young ladies and women you know who are making positive impact in the community.

Can I nominate myself?

Yes. No one advocates for you better than you.

Do we vote for the winners?

DWAP Awards are not determined by votes. All submitted nominations are considered, reviewed and judged based on the foundation of DWAP, (courage, faith, strength), community service and participation, how the nominee exemplifies the categories she is nominated in, and the positive impact she is making.

When does judging begin?

The awards judging process begins September 1, 2025. Only those nominees who selected “yes” to attend the event will be considered. Tickets must be purchased by September 30, 2025 to be considered. This allows time for all awards in each category to be ordered.

When will award winners be announced?

All DWAP Award nominees will be celebrated and winners will be announced during a special time at the Eighth Annual Designed With A Purpose Event.

Do I have to attend the event to accept my nomination or receive an award?

You do not have to attend the event to accept your nominations, as you will be recognized on social media as a nominee. However, you MUST attend the event to be eligible to win an award.

Is there a dress code for the event?

The recommended attire for the event is Evening Chic.

Is there a cost to attend the event and can I bring guests?

Yes, you must purchase tickets to attend. You are encouraged to bring guests, as well as children and men are welcome to attend. All attendees must also purchase tickets to attend, with the exception of children 4 years old or younger. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
